Aeris — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
Aeris is a breathwork and meditation app made by Horus Studios. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what the app does with your information.
The short version: Aeris has no account and no server of its own. Your practice history, your preferences and your notes stay on your device. The only data that leaves your device is what Apple and our subscription provider need to process a purchase.
What stays on your device
All of the following is stored on your iPhone and never sent to us:
- Your practice history — which practices you did, when, how long, how many cycles you completed, and how much of that time fell inside the coherence range.
- Your mood entries — how you rated your state before and after a session.
- Your onboarding answers, including the health screening (pregnancy, cardiovascular conditions, epilepsy, respiratory conditions, recent surgery). These answers only ever control which practices the app shows you and which warnings it displays.
- Your settings — language, text size, contrast, calm visuals, reminders, sound mixes and voice preferences.
- Your voice notes, if you use them (see below).
This information is written to your device's app storage. It is included in your device backups if you back up your iPhone, and it is removed when you delete the app.
Voice notes
Aeris can let you record a short spoken note about your day so it can suggest a practice. If you use this feature:
- The recording is saved on your device, in the app's own storage.
- The recording is transcribed using Apple's Speech framework. Aeris requests on-device transcription whenever your device supports it for your language. If your device does not support on-device transcription for that language, Apple processes the audio on Apple's servers under Apple's privacy policy.
- The recording and its transcript stay on your device. We never receive either.
- Recordings are removed when you delete the app. You can also discard a recording before saving it.
Aeris only uses the microphone while you are actively recording a note.
Apple Health
The Aeris Apple Watch app can write your finished sessions to Apple Health as mindful minutes, if you grant permission. This is optional.
- Aeris only writes to Health. It never reads any health data.
- The iPhone app does not use Apple Health at all.
- You can revoke this permission at any time in the Health app.
Subscriptions
Aeris Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store.
- Apple processes the purchase. We never see your payment details, card number or Apple Account credentials.
- We use Adapty (Adapty Tech Inc.) to manage subscription status and to tell the app whether your subscription is active. When you open the paywall or make a purchase, Adapty receives an anonymous profile identifier, your device identifier (Apple's identifier for vendors), your App Store purchase and receipt information, basic device and app information, and an approximate region derived from your IP address. Adapty does not receive your name, your email address, your practice history, your mood entries, your health screening answers or your voice notes. See Adapty's privacy policy.
- Aeris does not create an account for you and does not link your subscription to a name or email address.
What Aeris does not do
- No account, no sign-in, no password.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
- No advertising, no ad identifier (IDFA), and no App Tracking Transparency prompt — because Aeris does not track you.
- We do not sell or share your information, and we do not use it for advertising or for building profiles across apps or websites.
- No third-party trackers. Other than the subscription data described above, Aeris makes no network requests of its own; the app works fully offline.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, Aeris schedules them locally on your device. No notification is sent from a server, and we do not know whether you opened one.
Children
Aeris is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
- Delete the app to remove everything it stored on your device.
- Revoke microphone, speech recognition, Health or notification permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.
- Write to us at the address below to ask what Adapty holds about your subscription, or to ask for it to be deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will say so in the app's release notes.
